Evidence One
? The successtory of EVIDENCE ONE is almost like a Hard Rock Fairytale: Their debut album "Criticize the Truth! (2002) was actually written for fun, FRONTLINE – boss Robby Böbel and DOMAIN – frontman Carsten Lizard Schulz, just wanted to write a ‘good album’, which found criticly acclaim by the national and? international Rock press, and before they knew it the new founded band EVIDENCE ONE was invited to go on a European tour with SAXON. ? The first show they ever played together was indeed the opening show of the tour in Osnabrück. After the tour, more shows followed as support for the English Metal Gods, before EVIDENCE ONE was invited to play at the legendary "Gods of AOR" Festival in England, being the first German band ever to play there! ? More shows were played like "Earthshaker Festival" with DORO, PRETTY MAIDS and TESTAMENT, and in 2003 they had the honour to play at the very famous "Wacken Open Air". ? All in all a real successful start for Böbel und Schulz, who had found a first class line up together with Hutch Bauer (from FRONTLINE as well) on bass,? Wolfgang Schimmer, 2nd guitar and Rami Ali (JUSTICE, LEX ) on drums . ? Already, during the many live shows of last year the band started writing material for the present album, the second E1- masterpiece "Tattooed Heart", which clearly shows the handwriting of intensive Metalshows . The latest highlight in the career of EVIDENCE ONE is without a doubt signing a contract with Nuclear Blast Records in early 2004. None other than Mat Sinner himself brought the band under the attention of the label. How confident EVIDENCE ONE have been about themselves and their new material, shows the fact that they had their new demo sent to only one label: Nuclear Blast . ? Out of 20 tracks they compiled an album, which is full of variety and originality. EVIDENCE ONE has succeeded in doing the impossible, they succeeded where so many already had failed: Starting off as a Hard Rock band, turning into a Metal act, combining melody and heaviness into one, without disappointing the fans of their first album and opening themselves for new ones. "Tattooed Heart" contains, besides the melodic and epic title track, almost prog-Metal songs like the over the wall "In Love And War" or the surprising "Anything I Need To Know". There is Metal-smashers like "Moonsigh" and "Virus In My Veins", as well as classic Hard Rock tracks like "Wall Of Lies" (bonus track) or the hymn-like "Written in Blood", and don't forget the cultfactor of? "When Thunder Hits The Ground". ? Line-up: Pictures
